US Secretary of State Antony Blinken's opening remarks at a Senate Appropriations Committee hearing on Tuesday were quickly and repeatedly interrupted by protesters calling for a ceasefire in Gaza.
Within minutes of the speech, Blinken was interrupted by a man shouting " ceasefire now " and " save the children of Gaza ".
Afterward, four other protesters and another group of protesters interrupted Blinken, chanting, " From Palestine to Mexico, all walls must come down!" and "Long live Gaza !"
There were also other protesters in the audience with their hands painted red, which they raised in the air, symbolizing that the US has stained its hands with the blood of children killed in Gaza with the support it is giving to Israel.
We remind you that Israel has intervened by land in Gaza after the support it received from the US, its attacks have killed more than a thousand civilians, whose victims are reported to be children.
This has led to mass protests in many countries in support of the Palestinians who have found themselves in the middle of a chaos of bombings.
