Alexei Navalny, who is being held in a prison in the Arctic, was placed in solitary confinement for 10 days. And this, because as his representative said, he did not declare his name properly to a guard. The 47-year-old has been a critic of the Kremlin and has raised accusations of corruption. Now, he has been transferred to a prison located about 60 km north of the Arctic Circle.

Kira Jarmis, his spokeswoman, said late yesterday on Platform X that it was Navalny's 25th time in solitary confinement and that he has spent 283 days in such conditions. In the meantime, it is learned that he has been placed in solitary confinement, after claims that he had not pronounced his name correctly to the security guard in the prison.

Navalny has been sentenced to remain in prison until the age of 74. He claims that the accusations against him are fabricated, in order to keep him away from political life. Yesterday, the oppositionist said he is forced to listen to a pop singer, a supporter of Vladimir Putin, every morning at 5 o'clock, before listening to the Russian national anthem.
