The "secret" of Maduro's photo, expert analysis: He was misled
Nicolas Maduro

The photo of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, arrested and escorted aboard a US military ship, is neither coincidental nor symbolic.

According to American security and intelligence expert John Miller, every detail in that photograph is part of a strict arrest and transfer protocol, usually followed in highly sensitive cases.

Maduro is shown with handcuffs on his hands and dark protective glasses. According to Miller, these glasses have nothing to do with exposure to light, but serve to disorient the detainee. "This way he does not know where he is or the direction of movement from point A to point B," the expert explains.

Maduro also wears an inflated life jacket and headphones. Miller explains that the headphones are used to prevent him from hearing conversations around him. “He cannot hear the communications between the agents and, more importantly, he cannot claim later in court that he was subjected to verbal or psychological pressure during the transport,” he emphasizes.

According to the expert, the entire process of escorting Maduro was filmed from the moment of his arrest until his arrival at the detention cell. This footage, Miller says, is a legal shield for the prosecution. In the event that the defense or Maduro himself raises allegations of physical or verbal abuse, the video could be used as evidence to refute any such accusations.

Another significant detail in the photo is the jacket of one of the agents close to Maduro, where the inscription “DEA” is clearly visible. According to Miller, this element is key to understanding who has the legal authority in this operation.

"The fact that the DEA appears there means that Maduro has been arrested by federal law enforcement authorities in the US, specifically by the DEA office in New York, and is being transported to appear in court," the expert explains.

He adds that Delta Force special forces conducted the military operation to capture and secure the target, but only to pave the way for the structure that has a legal mandate for arrest and criminal prosecution. "The DEA is the only agency that can operate in foreign territories with a US federal arrest warrant," Miller emphasizes.

According to him, this shows that the Maduro case is not simply a military or political action, but a process built on a legal basis, aimed at bringing the Venezuelan president to face American justice.
