Serbia plays the "victim" and asks the US for help to reduce tensions in the north of Kosovo

The Serbian Minister of Defense, Milosh Vucevic, has asked the United States of America to use its influence in Pristina to escalate the situation in the north of Kosovo.

During the meeting with the US Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense, Tres Stefen Guenova, he stated that Pristina is rejecting the achievements of the dialogue so far with its policy of violence, but emphasized that Belgrade is open to the continuation of the dialogue because it is trying to ensure life normal of the Serbian community in Kosovo, reports Euronews Serbia.

Vucevic also said that, for Serbia, KFOR is the only legitimate armed formation in Kosovo, in accordance with Resolution 1244 of the United Nations Security Council, adding that the safety of KFOR members is indisputable and a priority for Serbia.

According to him, Serbia continues to lead a balanced defense policy and constantly works on improving and developing relations in the field of defense with all countries and international organizations.
