Protests in Serbia intensified this evening, with protesters breaking into the main headquarters of Serbian criminal Vojislav Seselj in Zemun. The protesters, who are unhappy with the regime of President Aleksandar Vučić, attacked the headquarters of the Serbian Radical Party, expressing their anger at the Serbian leader's policies. They set fire to the flag.
In Valjevo, some demonstrators destroyed the premises of Vučić's Serbian Progressive Party, setting it on fire.
Police fired tear gas and stun grenades, and then attacked citizens who had gathered for tonight's protest in New Belgrade, as they were moving towards Zemun.
The shots were first heard at the intersection of Mihaila Pupin Boulevard and John Kennedy Street, after which the police responded. After the citizens dispersed (which was the previous agreement in the event of an attack by MUP officers), the police retreated to the roundabout in front of the Novi Beograd City Hall building. The column of citizens previously set off from Stari Mercator towards Zemun.
Hundreds of citizens of Gornji Milanovac threw toilet paper at the premises of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) in that city tonight. During this action, the lights in the SNS premises were turned off and there was only a police cordon in front of the premises, which did not react to the protesters' gesture.
