The United States has opposed the decision of the International Criminal Court, which has issued an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.
A statement issued by a spokesman for the US National Security Council said Washington was concerned about the ICC's rush to issue arrest warrants.
"We remain deeply troubled by the Prosecution's haste to seek arrest warrants and the troubling procedural errors that led to this decision. The United States has been clear that the ICC has no jurisdiction over this issue ," he said.

Washington has previously denounced the court's prosecution of Netanyahu and Gallant, a mixed stance that has exposed the Biden administration to accusations of double standards from many UN members, particularly from the global south.
We recall that the ICC first announced its request for an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu six months ago. The prosecutor's allegations of war crimes and crimes against humanity were widely derided by the Jewish state.
But the Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Netanyahu and Gallant on Wednesday, charging them with war crimes in Gaza - where more than 44,000 Palestinians have been killed since Israel began its campaign, according to the Ministry of Health there.
More than 120 countries are signatories to the Rome Statute, but Israel is not, nor are several major powers including the US, Russia, China and India. While the ICC cannot enforce arrests, signatory states are obliged to apprehend those facing arrest warrants.
In light of the ICC's ruling on Thursday, all member states are obliged to arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant if they trespass on their territory.
The ICC has previously issued arrest warrants against former Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir, Saif Gaddafi, son of the late Libyan leader Moammar Gaddafi, and most recently, Russian President Vladimir Putin.
