Multiple explosions were heard over Jerusalem after the identification of missiles launched from Iran towards Israeli territory, Agence France-Presse (AFP) journalists report.
Earlier in the day, at least five people were injured in Tel Aviv and other areas of central Israel as a result of rocket attacks, which also caused material damage, according to emergency services.
The Israeli military announced that six waves of missile attacks have been launched from Iran towards Israel since midnight, indicating an intensification of attacks.
In Bnei Brak, on the eastern outskirts of Tel Aviv, a man in his 40s suffered minor injuries to his face from broken glass, according to the Magen David Adom emergency service. The same agency reported that a total of four injured people were transported to hospitals in Tel Aviv and Bnei Brak.
Footage broadcast by AFP from the Ramat Gan area shows significant damage to residential buildings. An entire floor of one house has collapsed, with furniture and personal belongings visible in the rubble. In another nearby building, the upper floor was partially damaged.
According to local media, a rocket with fragmentation shells landed near the Kirya military base in Tel Aviv, about two kilometers from the Defense Ministry. The Israeli military said it was unable to confirm the exact location of the strikes.
Recent developments indicate further escalation of the conflict, as reciprocal attacks between Iran and Israel continue to affect urban areas and civilian infrastructure.
