The ultimatum is related to the 10-day deadline announced on March 26, which ends on Monday, April 6, at 8:00 p.m. Washington time.

US President Donald Trump has given Iran a 48-hour ultimatum to reach a deal or reopen the Strait of Hormuz, warning of dire consequences otherwise.

In a post on the Truth Social platform, Trump wrote that the deadline is running out and then "all hell will break loose."

"Remember  when I gave Iran 10 days to make a deal or reopen the Strait of Hormuz. Time is running out, 48 hours before all hell breaks loose on them ," you wrote.

The ultimatum reportedly follows a 10-day deadline set on March 26, which ends on Monday, April 6, at 8 p.m. Washington time. At the time, Trump had warned that the U.S. could strike Iran's energy facilities if the demands were not met.

The conflict, which began on February 28 after the American-Israeli attacks, is continuing, while developments on the ground indicate further escalation. Today, the Bushehr nuclear power plant, the only functional nuclear energy facility in Iran, was hit again.

According to the Iranian news agency IRNA, a guard was killed in the attack, but authorities did not report major material damage or increased radiation levels. The director of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, expressed "deep concern" and stressed that nuclear power plants should not be military targets.

Bushehr is located about 750 kilometers from Tehran and closer to the capitals of Gulf countries, such as Kuwait and Doha, which increases regional sensitivity to any incident in the area.

Meanwhile, Russia condemned the attack and announced that around 200 employees of the Rosatom company began evacuating the plant just 20 minutes after the strike.

In parallel, operations to search for a missing American pilot in southwest Iran continue, adding to the complexity of the situation on the ground. Recent developments indicate an increase in diplomatic and military pressure, as the deadline set by the US approaches. / Pamphlet
