DP deputy, Ervin Salianji, has stated that on July 29 there will be no election for the new DP chairman, but according to him, an attempt to usurp the party.
In an interview for "Ora News", he said that with these elections, attempts are being made to steal the institutions, seal and logo of the Democratic Party.
As for the former leader Lulzim Basha, Salianji declared that he has not returned now, as he did not leave before, adding that he has held DP institutions hostage for a year and a half.
" What is happening in the vula party is what I warned more than a year ago is that he did not withdraw but was forced by us to leave, the former president at the time Basha by procedure not being deregistered by the Court. Mbajti the same institutions there excluding and driving away all others. It is not even coming back because it never ran away but it is holding it hostage with the idea of the regime. It is more precisely trying to hold hostage the seal, the sigla, the symbols, the heritage, the finances and everything pertaining to PD.
DP is not the building, the walls, the letters, it is the people and the people are clearly not with him, even according to the polls I see, he is one of the people with negativity and the most negative popularity in Albania. He neither fled nor left. It was there. There are no elections on the 29th, there is no process, there are no DP institutions, neither the Presidency nor the National Council. There is an attempt to usurp these as I told you to confiscate the DP logo and further proceed to hold it hostage ," he said.
