A CIA source inside the Venezuelan government was monitoring the whereabouts of Nicolas Maduro in the critical days and moments leading up to his capture by US special forces, according to people familiar with the operation.
According to the same sources, the US intelligence service provided the crucial material that led to Maduro's arrest, monitoring his location and movements in real time.

However, based on the available evidence, Nicolas Maduro and his wife are expected to appear before judges in New York, possibly on Monday, to be charged.
