A terrorist attack that has shocked the world has taken place in Australia. The attack is considered the bloodiest in recent times.
50-year-old Shahid Akram and his 24-year-old son, Navid Akram, opened fire on Bondi Beach while a Jewish Hanukkah celebration was taking place there, leaving 16 people dead.
According to recent information from international media, the father and son, originally from Lahore, Pakistan, had been preparing for the attack for a long time, located in an Airbnb apartment about 30 minutes from the beach where they carried out the massacre.
According to police estimates, the 50-year-old and the 24-year-old are believed to have been staying there for the past two weeks in preparation for the attack.
The building has already been searched by police officers, who reportedly found improvised explosive devices in the apartment.

The most basic version is that the two terrorists had some kind of connection to the Islamic State, as according to ABC News Australia, Islamic flags were found in the car used by the two terrorists on Sunday.
International media also report that the 24-year-old had studied at the Al Murad Islamic Center, as in 2022 he appeared in a photo in which he was praised for his excellent knowledge of "all the rules of tajweed", the recitation of the laws of the Quran.
This scenario is reinforced by information from Australia's Telegraph that 50-year-old Shahid and 24-year-old Navid had spent a month in the Philippines, a country considered one of the main centers of extremists on the planet.
However, according to Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, the two perpetrators of the crime did not “belong to a wider terrorist organisation”. Speaking to ABC TV, he said: “The information that I have received from the intelligence services is that there is no evidence of conspiracy, there is no evidence to prove that these individuals belonged to an organisation. It is clear that the motivation is extremist ideology .
Lies in the family
An indication of the secret of the father and son's preparations is the fact that both had told their relatives that they would be traveling south to fish.
"He called me (on Sunday) and said, 'Mom, I just went swimming. I went diving. Let's go... eat now, and then we'll stay home because it's hot,'" Navid's mother told The Sydney Morning Herald.
According to the same source, Navid worked as a builder before being fired about two months ago, while his father had a gun permit for about 10 years.
The 50-year-old was a member of a shooting club and held a permit to carry a non-long barreled weapon. According to authorities, he was in possession of six firearms, which are believed to have been used in the attack.
