The cause of this decline is more than a political “miscommunication.” Americans are feeling the brunt of inflation, rising food, rent, energy prices, and general economic uncertainty in their daily lives. And many of them are no longer willing to listen to long speeches about “making America great again” when their small wallets are shrinking every day.
A weakened Trump is big news for the whole world. Because when America is in internal crisis, the domino effect is immediately felt in global markets, in military alliances and in the balance of power in fragile regions like the Balkans. For countries like Albania, which tries to maintain a clear pro-Western position and invest in regional stability through its alliance with the US, any crack in the American front translates into strategic uncertainty. The current situation of Donald Trump, with less popular support and more personal ego, warns that unpredictable consequences may also occur for American foreign policy in our region.
The Fox News poll is more than a reflection of public mood: it is a warning that the alliance between hardline populism and the American voter is no longer as strong as it once was.
