Dozens of FBI witness interviews from the Jeffrey Epstein investigation appear to be missing from the massive trove of files released by the Justice Department last month.
CNN reports that it includes three interviews related to a woman who accused President Donald Trump of sexually assaulting her decades ago.
An evidence log provided to lawyers for Epstein's associate, Ghislaine Maxwell, includes serial numbers for about 325 FBI witness interview records, but more than 90 of those records, over a quarter of the list, do not appear to be present on the Justice Department's website, according to a CNN review.

A Democratic lawmaker on Tuesday pointed to the missing documents to question the extent of the Justice Department's disclosure and whether the Trump administration followed the law requiring the agency to release its files related to Epstein, the wealthy financier who died in a federal prison in 2019 while facing sex trafficking charges.
"We have a survivor who made serious allegations against the president. But there are a number of documents, and it appears to be possible interviews, that the FBI conducted with the survivor who is actually missing, that we don't have access to," Representative Robert Garcia, a Democrat on the House Oversight Committee, told CNN.
Trump has consistently denied any wrongdoing in connection with Epstein. In a statement, the White House called the allegations against Trump “false and sensational” and referred to a previous Justice Department statement that “some of the documents contain untrue and sensational allegations against President Trump.”
Details about the missing documents related to Trump's accuser were previously reported by NPR and independent journalist Roger Sollenberger.
A Justice Department spokesman denied that any Epstein data had been deleted and stressed that the department was following the law.
“We have not deleted anything and, as we have always said, all documents responding to the request were produced,” the spokesman said. Documents not included in the release were either “copies, privileged, (or) part of an ongoing federal investigation,” the spokesman said.
It is possible that some of the documents mentioned in Maxwell's evidence logs may be present elsewhere in the file without the serial numbers listed in the logs, or with these serial numbers redacted.
Many documents have been removed and added back to the Justice Department's Epstein files website in the weeks since the initial publication.
