Tehran says allowing US operations from Romanian territory is considered participation in military aggression
Iran has warned Romania that it will take political and legal reactions if Bucharest allows the United States to use military bases on its territory for operations against Tehran, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said on Monday.
During a weekly press conference, Baghaei said Iran calls on other countries not to get involved in a potential military conflict.
"If Romania places its bases at the disposal of the United States, this would constitute participation in military aggression against Iran," he declared.
According to the spokesperson, such an action would be unacceptable under international law and would bring international responsibility to Romania.
