Residents of Greenland's capital, Nuuk, were faced with an unusual and provocative incident when an unknown man attempted to raise the American flag on a pole outside the Kutuaq Cultural Center, in the city center.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, as confirmed by Greenland police to Denmark's TV 2.
The police are still investigating the case, while everything took place peacefully, as those present at the scene stopped the perpetrator before he could raise the flag.

Police arrived at the scene after the incident ended.
The approximately 56,000 inhabitants of the autonomous island of the Kingdom of Denmark have come under intense pressure from Washington in recent weeks to become part of the United States, with the US president declaring that he will acquire Greenland "one way or another", refusing to rule out the use of military force and threatening European countries with tariffs, before backing down.
