Danish Defense Minister Troel Lunn Poulsen has said that a military conflict between NATO could begin within the next five years.
"It cannot be ruled out that within three to five years Russia will provoke the fifth article of NATO and the solidarity of the alliance", declared the Danish official, adding that the Kremlin "has a desire to do this".
According to him, Denmark is unlikely to be attacked directly, but could face the threat of hybrid attacks from Russia.
In recent weeks there have been numerous warnings about a possible conflict from Russia.
A German official warned that a conflict with Russia could start within a decade. But this was not the only alarm, as a NATO official also declared that an all-out war with Russia could happen.
As these two warnings from these two European countries were not enough, similar concerns have also been raised by Great Britain.
As reported, the conflict may start from the Suwalki corridor, between Belarus and Kaliningrad (a Russian colony).
As reported, experts have described this corridor as "Achilles' heel", "The weakest point", or even "The most dangerous place on earth".
