Prime Minister Edi Rama, who is at the Peace Forum in Paris, has held meetings with several leaders who agree that the conflict and suffering in Gaza must end.
Rama states that "the prolongation of the suffering of civilians in Gaza feeds the ambitions of Hamas and other agents of chaos".
He supports Macron's calls for a cease-fire, as according to him Israel would also benefit.
"At the Paris Peace Forum I had the opportunity to meet various leaders and officials. In Gaza, we all agree that the conflict and the terrible suffering it causes must end.
As a committed member of NATO, we see a disturbing pattern, an evil commitment to cause conflict and sow chaos in the Northern Hemisphere, including the Western Balkans. These agents of chaos must be stopped and defeated.
Unfortunately, prolonging the suffering of civilians in Gaza only fuels the ambitions of Hamas and other agents of chaos.
I am encouraged by the commitment of our host here in Paris, President Macron of France, who, on Saturday, November 10, strongly called for an immediate ceasefire. I agree with President Macron's assessment that a ceasefire would also benefit Israel.
As a peaceful and multi-religious country with a vibrant youth, an immediate end to the civil suffering of the Palestinian and Israeli people and a lasting peace between these two nations is of strategic interest to Albania. I will continue to work with other leaders and other officials on this," said Rama.
