
Two people died after a boat carrying migrants capsized in the English Channel on Wednesday.
France's maritime prefecture for the Channel and North Sea said a further 46 people were rescued after the incident off the coast of Calais.
48 people were found in the search and first aid was given to two unconscious people brought on board the ship Minck. They were later confirmed dead in Calais, the French maritime prefecture said.
This is another tragedy that happened in the English Channel, where a few days ago a baby lost his life.
