Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani visited the scene of the deadly fire. Speaking to reporters, he confirmed that six Italians were missing and 13 injured, three of whom have not been identified due to their serious injuries.
We recall that the first victim of the flames is a 17-year-old Italian golfer, Emanuele Galeppini, who was named by the Italian Golf Federation.
Emerging from the bar visibly moved, he called this a travesty.
"It's a tragedy. I'm a father and a grandfather, so I can understand what a parent is feeling right now," Tajani said.
Tajani also criticized the bar's safety, saying the use of small fireworks in the bar was "irresponsible."
"This security situation was terrible. We saw some dramatic scenes. Obviously, something went wrong. It will be the judges who will conduct the investigation and share the responsibility," he added.
He added that Swiss prosecutors had already conducted "dozens of interviews" as part of their investigation and Italy was offering resources to help with the response.
