The expert on international relations, Dritan Hoti, stated that a compromise to end the war in Ukraine can be reached in the name of a global agreement.
Hoti discussed the possibility of Trump's involvement in ending the conflict, but warned of possible consequences for Ukraine and Europe.
Hoti said that if Trump proposes a solution that is unfavorable for Ukraine and Europe, it could mean a strategic benefit for Russia. Such a move, according to him, would result in the "sponsorship" of Russia's international influence and would damage the transatlantic NATO alliance.
" If his proposal is unfavorable to Ukraine and Europe, it will mean that Trump is sponsoring the emergence of Russia with full international rights and will create a kind of disintegration of the transatlantic alliance, provoking the collapse of what the West represents as a monopoly. It is not said that Russia will enter into an alliance against China. This does not happen. I don't think we will have a sacrificial decision for Ukraine and Europe, since Trump has announced something that will only last for one term and, the second, he will have to cooperate with the Americans. Whatever the equation, one individual cannot undo history. I think it will be a proposal and its progress can be predicted and talked about, which means that Crimea will be a demilitarized zone under international supervision. In the name of a great global agreement, a compromise could be reached, " Hoti told Euronews.
