The head of the Hamas political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, has asked the Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, to be more focused on ending the Israeli aggression in Gaza during his visit to the region.
In a video message released by Hamas on Saturday, the Doha-based political leader of Hamas said he hopes the US has filled its cup of mistakes in support of Israel.
Haniyeh said Hamas hopes that Blinken, on his fourth trip to the region since Hamas' attacks on Israel on October 7, 2023, will be more focused this time on ending the aggression being carried out by Israel in the Strip. Gaza.
Haniyeh also said that leaders of Arab nations meeting with Blinken should emphasize to the US administration that the future and stability of the region is tied to the Palestinian cause. He reiterated Hamas's view that the Palestinian people should have a fully independent state with full sovereignty.
We recall that Blinken is undertaking another round of diplomatic meetings amid heightened fears that the Israel-Hamas war could spill over into a wider regional conflict.
