President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has denounced the killing of a Turkish-American activist in the West Bank and criticized what he described as Israel's deadly 10-day incursion.
" I condemn Israel's barbaric intervention against an anti-occupation demonstration in the West Bank and I pray for God's mercy for our citizen Aysenur Ezgi Eygi, who lost her life in the attack ," he wrote in X.
Turkey's Foreign Ministry also denounced the killing in an official statement, as it accused Netanyahu of trying to intimidate those who help the Palestinians.
" We condemn this murder committed by the Netanyahu government. Israel is trying to intimidate those who come to the aid of the Palestinians and those who are involved in the peaceful struggle against the genocide. This policy of violence will not succeed ", it was said in the reaction.
The ministry added that Israeli leaders will inevitably be held accountable before international courts.
