Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said he will propose to the new government the death penalty for those responsible for serious crimes, following the recent killing of a 2-year-old girl who was kidnapped by her mother. or last year's massacre in a Belgrade school.
Vucic said he believes that even a 40-year prison sentence is insufficient for a crime such as the killing of a two-year-old girl, an event that has sparked great emotion and anger in Serbia.
"I will send it to the government of Serbia, so that when they form the government, let them think about whether they will make a proposal to the parliament for changes and additions to the Criminal Code or not," said Vucic.
