
New details from the tragic accident in Italy are revealed. A bus fell from the overpass ramp at Rizzardi in Mestre and then caught fire.
The number of dead is 21 and there are 15 injured, while it is suspected that 4 or 5 people are missing under the rubble.
The accident happened on Tuesday evening shortly after 19:30. As for the dynamics, the bus left the road at the Vempa overpass, penetrated the protective curbs and ended up near the train tracks, after a flight of about thirty meters.
The vehicle caught fire after touching the electricity cables. The Local Health Authority of Venice has activated the "major emergency" protocol, which provides for the availability of all hospital emergency rooms and the withdrawal of reinforcement personnel. At least 40 ambulances are at the scene.
