Ukraine's western allies are warning Kiev that they can no longer supply the latter with weapons, as their reserves are running low.
Admiral Rob Bauer, NATO's top military official, told the Security Forum in Warsaw that "the end of military reserves is in sight".
Bauer said that governments and arms manufacturers must "increase production at a much higher rate" if they want to continue aid to Ukraine. Ukraine fires thousands of shells every day and most of them come from NATO.
UK Defense Minister James Heappey told the forum that Western military reserves "have weakened" and urged NATO allies to spend 2% of their national wealth on defence, as they have pledged to do.
The UK Ministry of Defense says that since the start of the Russian invasion in February 2022, it has provided more than 300,000 rounds and ammunition and is committed to providing "tens of thousands more" by the end of the year to Ukraine.
