Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was seen entering the NATO conference in The Hague today in a suit. He wore a black jacket, black T-shirt underneath, black trousers and military boots – a compromise between military style and formal diplomatic style.
Zelensky held a meeting of about 50 minutes with US President Donald Trump, which he described as "long and substantive".
The change in attire is no coincidence. The Ukrainian leader has become known for his military-style uniform since the beginning of the war, as a sign of solidarity with troops on the front lines. But the choice has also drawn criticism.

On February 28, during a tense visit to the White House, an American journalist provocatively asked him: "Why aren't you wearing a suit? Do you have a suit?"
Zelensky replied sarcastically: "I'll wear a suit after this war is over. Maybe like yours, maybe better, maybe cheaper. Thank you."
It seems that this moment has left its mark. In today's meeting with Trump, in contrast to that verbal clash in Washington, Zelensky appeared with a curated appearance, signaling a more diplomatic tone and perhaps an attempt to avoid the controversies that have befallen him in the past.
