After the arrests in Kardhica, the Greek police have handcuffed 3 more people in Mesologia. It is about three candidates, one woman and two men who offered money in exchange for votes. All three are accused of the criminal offense of bribing a voter and will be sent to the Basic Prosecutor's Office of Mesolongia.

The police immediately arrived at the scene and found the three defendants in two cars that were in the yard of a school-voting center and outside it. After the search, police officers found inside the vehicles and confiscated the completed ballots for the regional and municipal elections and a notebook with handwritten notes.
At the same time, in one of the vehicles, 13,500 euros and crossed ballots were found in a bag, which according to the police were intended for financing the voters. On Sunday, the authorities announced the arrest of 3 more people in the Kardhica area accused of buying 500 identity cards for 50 euros each.
While 3 days before the elections, the candidate for mayor of Mesolongia, Panajotis Kaculis, was also arrested after he did not respect the permission given to hold a rally.
