The candidate for president from the ranks of VMRO-DPMNE, Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, who has received the most support from the citizens, stated that this, in the first place, also means a great responsibility.
She also commented on the boycott, describing it as political and party pressure.
"Calling for a boycott means political and party pressure. But despite this, the citizens went to the polls and cast their vote for what they wanted. It didn't happen to me to convince the citizens to vote for me, that I am the best, the wisest, but I let the citizens decide for themselves", said Siljanovska-Davkova.
Stevo Pendarovski has accepted the defeat and wishes successful work to the opponent from the ranks of VMRO-DPMNE.
Meanwhile, he accused DUI, which has called for a boycott. On this occasion, Pendarovski said that regardless of the result, he has a clear conscience, and asked if those who called for a boycott also have a clear conscience.
" We know that there are some reports of some irregularities, but we leave this to the competent bodies so that no stain remains on the electoral process. I congratulate the winners, I wish them success in their work during the next four years, namely the next 5 years. My concept for a multi-ethnic Macedonia integrated into the Euro-Atlantic structures did not find support among the voters, however I remain of the opinion that only such a Macedonia can be prosperous. However, my conscience is clear. But I don't know if even those who called for a boycott have a clear conscience" , declared Stevo Pendarovski. .
