Report-Decision No. 505, dated January 28, 2022, on the vetting of the judge of the Administrative Court of First Instance of Tirana, Gentian Luigj Marku, has many problems of image, integrity, education and involvement in criminal activities and unjustified wealth.
Referring to the evidence uncovered by the investigation, Judge Gentian Marku, in addition to being expelled from the justice system, should have been criminally charged and faced SPAK and the Special Court, like some of his colleagues who have been expelled for greeting criminal figures and unjustified 1,000 euros.
But the first-instance Vetting Commission, composed of Suela Zhegu, Brunilda Bekteshi and Firdes Shuli, left him in office, and Judge Gentian Marku even found "the strings" for the Public Commissioner not to appeal the decision to the Appeals Commission.
One of the findings during the investigation is the fact that Judge Gentian Luigj Marku did not declare what jobs he had during the years 2005-2012, after receiving a fake "Lawyer" degree from the "Luigj Gurakuqi" University of Shkodra.
But during this period hidden in the form, Judge Gentian Marku appears in SHISH's Anti-Crime reports, listed as a subject for "dirty work" in Lezha, Shëngjin, Laç and Tirana.
He stated that during the period September 2005 - September 2012, he worked the land and sold vegetables in the village of Blinisht, Lezha, and earned millions of lek, but without registering with the Tax Office.
Meanwhile, Anti-Crime investigative agencies have documented him as being involved in illegal activities such as money laundering, smuggling, car theft, and collaboration with drug trafficking groups, and even clandestine human trafficking until October 2010, when his visas were revoked.
The Vetting Commission discovered this data, but did not reflect it in the file of Judge Gentian Marku, becoming a party to the concealment of activity during the years 2005-2012, with the justification that he worked the land and sold vegetables illegally, when according to the law it is called "Concealing activity" and he should have been excluded from the justice system.
In October 2012, when he was 32 years old, after 7 years of hiding dirty work activities belonging to the criminal world, Gentian Marku began his studies at the Magistrates' School.
He was accepted without competition, without verifying his high school diploma, law degree, employment status, because he was 32 years old, and criminal record; while after 3 years of study, he became a judge in Puka, Lezha and Shkodra, and for 10 months he has been an exemplary judge at the Tirana First Instance Administrative Court, where he has tried and continues to try crimes.
Previously, "Pamfleti" also published the scandal in which Judge Gentian Marku stated that he completed 1 year of studies in 2001-2002, out of 4 years of full-time studies for "Law" at the "Luigj Gurakuqi" University of Shkodra, when he was an immigrant in Italy.
