Two days before Sali Berisha was re-appointed as Chairman of the DP, he joined forces with Edi Rama to amend the Rules of Procedure of the Assembly, which in principle appears to be formal DP-SP cooperation, while in content it is against the morality and sacrifices of the Democrats during 13 years in opposition.
One of the bargains between Sali Berisha and Edi Rama in the changes to the regulation is the strengthening of the special commission headed by Fatmir Xhafaj, giving it the authority to control the activity of SPAK, the Special Court, the Supreme Court, the Supreme Court of Kosovo, the Supreme Audit Office, the Supreme Court of Kosovo, and other independent institutions.
So, the new justice institutions and others will continue to report to the relevant parliamentary committees, but the assessments and recommendations for their activities will be made by the "Xhafaj" committee, and specifically, SPAK will report to Fatmir Xhafaj.
It is known that the creation of the "Xhafaj" commission, initially as a temporary commission with a 1-year term and now as a permanent parliamentary commission, is an agreement between Edi Rama and Sali Berisha to have personal control over SPAK's activities.
But in this diabolical pact to attack the justice system that is the subject of the investigation, Sali Berisha has accepted that the connecting point with Edi Rama and the common "devil" is Fatmir Xhafaj, or "Geroni's mafia brother", as Berisha called him before this pact.
The stance of Sali Berisha, who voted to strengthen Fatmir Xhafaj and accept him as a point of contact with Edi Rama, is disgusting, when the most active former DP MP, Ervin Salianji, was sentenced to prison for denouncing, on behalf of the DP and for Sali Berisha's vengeful political interests, publishing the conviction of drug trafficker Agron Xhafaj in Italy.
MP Ervin Salianji was convicted with the influence of mafia boss Fatmir Xhafaj at all levels of prosecutors' offices and courts, in retaliation for denouncing the conviction of his cocaine trafficker brother, Geron alias Agron Xhafaj.
Two statements by Sali Berisha about Ervin Salianji after his imprisonment
After Ervin Salianj's conviction and during his imprisonment, Sali Berisha went to meet him in prison, and after the meeting he said:
· "I met the deputy of the Albanian Parliament, who is lying and serving his sentence, solely because he served the country with free speech, because he performed his patriotic duty, denouncing the most dangerous trafficking clan in Albania, led by Geron Xhafaj, who was protected by his brother, the mafia minister Fatmir Xhafaj. Ervin Salianji has a place of honor in the leadership structures of the DP."
But after his release from prison, Sali Berisha closed the party door to Ervin Salianji. He called him part of criminal groups and a servant of Edi Rama, expelled him from the DP and did not allow him to run, calling him an ordinary convict, from the political convict he had previously called him.
While during the 7 months of attacks on Ervin Salianji after his release from prison, with accusations of being "Edi Rama's soldier", Sali Berisha has made many dirty deals with Edi Rama for the approval of laws in favor of the oligarchs, with his son Shkëlzen Berisha and son-in-law Jamarbër Malltezi also being beneficiaries.
