Duman spoke in general terms, but we didn't hear anything about concrete files...
The head of the Special Prosecutor's Office, Altin Dumani, appeared in the media for the first time yesterday. His communications with journalists have been almost always without cameras, while he has always avoided television studios, unlike his predecessor. But yesterday Dumani appeared on RTSH, in an interview on what SPAK has now achieved and he as its leader.
Undoubtedly, the messages he gave were many, but on the other hand, he did not talk about any concrete file, this was a "pact" with the moderator before the show was made. In short, Duman spoke in general terms, but we did not hear anything about the "McGonigal" file, "Xibraka", the abuse of Ipard funds, the abuse of army properties, January 21, Gërdec, etc.
But what were the messages that Duman gave? First, he made it clear to everyone that he is not afraid of political attacks regardless of where they come from. Meta and Berisha have left nothing unsaid and Duman gave them the answer they deserved.
He sent a message to Edi Rama and Fatmir Xhafaj that the commission they have set up is not liked by them. He openly said that his duty is to report to the KLP and the Assembly and not to special commissions. It also left open the possibility that politics would try to undo SPAK through that commission.
There was also a message for those who are happy with Trump's victory. Duman said that the Americans do not interfere in their investigations. Definitely assist, but not influence the progress of the investigation. This means that the Trump administration cannot save the corrupt.
He also stated that thanks to Sky Ecc, SPAK has a clear overview of how organized crime operates, where it is located, what finances it has and which politicians it is connected to.
The SPAK's biggest challenge now will be to expose the links between politics and crime. Don't stop at Jurgis Çyrbja, but bring out the other names of SkyEcc users who have had connections with the world of crime.
As far as she is concerned, what Dumani did not say are the concrete issues:
1- What is happening with the "McGonigal" file and have there been exchanges with the USA regarding the role of the prime minister?
2- Is the "Xibraka" file and the prime minister's brother himself being investigated?
3-Why are the investigations into the affair with Ipard funds taking so long and are there any proceedings against the former minister Frida Krifca?
4- Why are the investigations into the affairs of the army's properties taking so long and is the former minister Olta Xhaçka being investigated?
5-Has the Prime Minister been asked to be interrogated and he has refused?
6- What is happening with some very serious allegations made against Berisha, such as by Aishe Haklaj or Izet Haxhia?
7-Is Shkëlzen Berisha being investigated for Gërdec?
8- What is being done about the murder of Artan Santos?
9- Why did SPAK not want to investigate "January 21", but was imposed by the court?
10- Does SPAK operate with two standards, since some are investigated in prison and some in cells?
There are many other issues that many of us were waiting for an answer to. Undoubtedly, we do not expect Dumani to de-conspiracy the investigations, but there is no need to have a complex to talk about specific cases even saying that "investigations continue, when there are developments you will see them". As his predecessor declared.
However, Duman has one year of mandate at the head of SPAK and now his test, in addition to revealing the links between politics and crime, is to show that the prosecution does not act with direction. So let's see, besides Beqaj and Koka, more former socialist ministers in the cell, why not also names in office. / Pamphlet
