Edi Rama's meetings in Athens and Milan, those in Germany and London that are expected, have spent endless energy.
Rama has involved all the municipalities and the administration to organize abroad, that immersion in the crowd that has not been done in Albania for years.
All rallies and meetings of the majority in Albania are with numbered chairs. As people are no longer enthusiastic here, because they suffer to live everyday.
Immigrants do not have this stress, but some of them still keep an eye on Tirana, and most of them naturally do not like Sali Berisha, since they left the country once.
Here Rama wants to kill two birds with one stone.
First, tell Micotaqis in Athens and Giorgia Meloni in Rome that he is asking his compatriots to vote for them, and on the other hand to keep European Albanians away from Tirana. Because if they return, although not all, they can cause the overthrow. Be it the militants of the left, be it those of the right, be it the majority who are looking for a qualitative change.
Edi Rama wants to stop this big change, even temporarily. "You can come" as investors, he says, but he does not want to come as voters or even worse as political actors.
It does not seem that Rama, in the meeting with the diaspora, is afraid that this part will be taken by Sali Berisha or Ilir Meta, but the space they have created is.
It is this part of society that endangers the power of Edi Rama more and more every day. In other words, all intellectuals studied in the West who do not trust this political class can come and overturn everything.
As did the diaspora of Bucharest, Turkey, Misiri (Egypt), America, at the beginning of the 20th century. This diaspora of those years made Albania. Which our ruling classes and elites wanted to leave with the Ottoman Empire.
Albania was made from the money, energy, mind and vision of Albanians living in the West. After all, even Mehmet Ali Pasha's Egypt was a small England.
