Why is Erdogan (Rama's friend) unable to recover from the disease of
Erdogan and Gulen

The infiltration of Gülenists in state bodies is the real nightmare of Erdogan and his supporters...

In recent weeks, Turkish authorities have announced the arrest of 544 people suspected of being linked to Fethullah Gülen, the preacher who was once a major ally of Recep Tayyip Erdogan but was held responsible for the 2016 coup attempt against the president. Erdogan's revenge was severe: tens of thousands were arrested, 140 thousand left office and almost three thousand were sentenced to life imprisonment. Not only that: the extradition of Gülen's followers was also one of the conditions Erdogan tried to impose in order to give his consent to the entry of Finland and Sweden into NATO, a demand that was later abandoned.

Moreover, "Gülenism" is already a chronic disease for Erdogan, who simply cannot recover from it. The latest wave of arrests, according to Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya, spread to 62 of the country's 81 provinces, showing how deep and massive it was. And, the minister said, it took place against "individuals who had infiltrated the public administration at different levels". And exactly this, the infiltration of Gülenists in state bodies, is the real nightmare of Erdogan and his followers.

The nightmare returned to the Turkish regime last December, when the Istanbul prosecutor's office ordered the arrest of dozens of people, including important names in the Turkish nomenclature: the sons of the ministers of the interior, economy and environment and urban planning, famous construction businessmen such as Reza Zarrab, Ali Ağaoğlu and Süleyman Aslan, general manager of the state-owned bank Halkbank, as well as a host of senior officials and bureaucrats. All face accusations of corruption and construction abuse.

A heavy unexpected blow for Erdogan and the leaders of his party, the AKP, who are increasingly convinced that Gülen's followers have managed to infiltrate the state administration, but also the judiciary and the secret services. Hence the wave of repression, which, to be sure, started with the departure of some policemen and magistrates who were following the investigations.

The scandal, however, could not be extinguished and caused turbulence within the AKP itself. The case of the greatest media coverage was that of former football player (also seen in Italy for Torino and Inter) Hakan Sukur, known for his Gülenist sympathies. The AKP MP resigned after the arrests, denouncing the government's intention to close Gülen's movement schools. The tip of an iceberg of political friction within Erdogan's party that may emerge sooner or later. / Adapted "Pamphlet" from "Inside Over"

Meanwhile, it should be noted that Erdogan has spread his illness abroad and one of those who has been infected is Prime Minister Edi Rama. Erdogan has requested several times that Rama extradite the Gülenists and close his schools.
