The trick of divorces is related precisely to those who, not only Ilir Meta, but everyone who is under investigation, are more afraid of the sequestration of assets.
Divorces are a very misused mechanism by civil justice in Albania, among crime bosses, but also businessmen connected to the government.
We have often seen that by divorcing, there is a redistribution of assets and shares, and thus the situation with loans, debts, banks, etc. is disturbed.
Ilir Meta, this is exactly where he has the problem, so he is doing the same thing.
But, on the other hand, it must be said that he has no problem at all if SPAK can seize some real estate; which could be Lalzi's villa, Fatima's palace or any other apartment in Tirana or the coast.
During his incursions into SPAK, where Ilir Meta, not without a purpose, went without a lawyer, so that he would not be held responsible tomorrow for what he says, he realized that they know and have a view of his entire wealth.
Wealth, where real estate assets are a drop of water in the ocean, as it is a matter of shares and staggering parts in giant Albanian companies, in global companies, and various businesses. Assets and shares, which have been distributed in confidential ownership schemes, but whose traces are. Divorce is a fast legal mechanism, which starts the distribution of property according to the Civil Code. So it is accordingly divided not only by 2, but also by the number of children who are adults, they have the right to receive their share.
Meanwhile, even in the criminal process, which SPAK will likely start soon, the procedures will have to take a different course as a result of the divorce, and Meta gains time.
However, Ilir Meta does not have much problem with the criminal process, as he can drag it with lawyers and his party. Meanwhile, they are the economic assets that are taken immediately and set up within the day. Had Argita and Jamarbëri been divorced, the GJKKO would not have been able to seize all the properties at once, but even if it had, the appeal at all levels, up to Strasbourg, might have been easier to escape a piece of property.
