If the Serbian List did not exist, the West would have to invent it...
In the name of "stability", "integration of minorities" and "sensitive dialogue", Euro-Atlantic structures have embraced a political organization that functions as an extension of Aleksandar Vučić's politics in the heart of a state they officially recognize as independent.
The Serbian List is not just a party; it is a platform directly controlled by Belgrade, which engages Serbian citizens in Kosovo as tools of political pressure. When Vučić needs it, they boycott. When a theater of “democracy” is required, they run for office like a military choir. All this happens under the noses of the EU and the US, who declare that they “respect the integrity of Kosovo,” but then demand that Pristina negotiate with a party that obeys the orders of the Chief of General Staff in Belgrade.
This is what is called “fig leaf” diplomacy. The West knows that the Serbian List is neither democratic nor a legitimate representative of the Serbs of Kosovo. But it needs it as an alibi, to cover up the failures of its foreign policy and to maintain an illusion of stability that is meanwhile eroding from within.
Pristina, ironically, is accused of being a “problem” whenever it tries to apply its law and sovereignty. When Albin Kurti sends the police to protect the elections, it is a “provocateur.” When the Serbian List boycotts, blocks or threatens, it is a “legitimate representative of the Serbian community.” This double standard has only one definition: diplomatic cynicism.
Albania, instead of repeating the standard phrases about "supporting dialogue", should openly say that the West has a serious problem: it has pampered a tool of Belgrade and now does not know how to part with it without appearing incompetent. And in the meantime, it is Kosovo that pays the price; with tension, instability and truncated legitimacy.
In the Balkans, peace often equates to silence about evil. The Serbian List is the clearest symbol of this diplomatic hypocrisy. And as long as it is covered with fig leaves, this “peace” will stink./ Pamphlet

Ju lumte z. Gjergj Zefi, e keni vene gishtin tek plaga e diplomacise perendimore ndaj ceshtjes se Kosoves. Turp te kene pushtetaret e BE qe sillen me Kosoven si dikur me 1913 u sollen me ceshtjen shqiptare, kur iu nenshtruan presioneve te Rusise Carise dhe i dhane me shume se gjysmen e territoreve te banuara nga shqiptarert Serbise, Greqise e Malit te Zi.
