Two days have passed since the changes of Edi Rama's government, but there has still not been a discussion on the motives of these movements.
Some have commented on it as part of the already established tradition, where at the end of the summer season, the prime minister announces some move in the cabinet. Others point out that it is a signal of refreshment in the Socialist Party, and after that new people will appear on the scene.
But the real reason seems to lie elsewhere. If we had only movement in the cabinet, maybe we could reach a common denominator with these definitions. Meanwhile, the sudden, almost "violent" change of the head of the Assembly points to something even bigger than the usual small games of Bablok's puppet theater.
There are many possibilities that all these movements are related to the imminent arrival in Tirana of the new full-fledged ambassador of the USA, David Kostelancik, who has received the approval of the Senate. For a month, the American embassy will continue to work, after the departure of Davin Wizner. The State Department has sent Nancy VanHorn. A person in charge of work, even though he is a direct representative of the State Department and conveys policy, does not have the power of a full-fledged ambassador, which, in addition to the credentials he receives, gives him a specific power, he also has the opportunity to move more protagonist, since he is appointed directly by the President of the USA.
In short, an ambassador is, in a way, a de facto US minister in Albania.
The American Embassy has a budget that exceeds any ministry in Albania, as well as an important staff of officials, security officers, intelligence officers, agents of the fight against organized crime and drug trafficking, lawyers, economists, media specialists, and above all high-level diplomats. An institution that can move and accumulate so much work that an Albanian institution cannot do.
A ministry of ours, immersed in the lazy and abusive tradition of 30 years, produces very little work and analysis, or projects, which is not seen in the institutions of large states.
Even more so, a US embassy, which has planned work with objectives in gen. The new ambassador, in all likelihood, will launch a plan or objective set by DASH for his mandate. Every American ambassador has had a specific objective, which has led him to the end.
For this objective, as has always happened, the ambassadors create the circle, the lobby, bring the political people closer to move things.
