Vlora, coup under Spak's nose

Bledar Çuçi replaces Ermal Dredha, interviews the candidates for directors who must sign for Kanina, Pylli i Sodës and Pashalimani...

Behind the demonstrations and the removal of directors in the Municipality of Vlora, it seems that the predatory interests of the same oligarchs are hiding, to seize and turn into businesses the last public assets, some of which are directly related to national security, such as the Pashaliman Base.

After bargaining with Rama, a media oligarch has expressed interest in building a large solar power plant in Kanina on an area of 830 hectares, covering the entire face of Mount Kanina.

Some foreign fraudsters, behind whom stands another oligarch and Tirana realtor who divides public assets with Rogneri, after bargaining with Rama, have expressed interest in 'developing' the Pashalimani Base, that is, turning it into a resort, hotel and tavern, the most strategic point in Albania from a military defense point of view.

Another oligarch, who appears in SPAK's main files on corruption and money laundering of politicians, after bargaining with Rama, has advanced in his predatory intentions to capture Pylli i Sodës and the area around the airport.

The oligarch has transferred thousands of hectares of public land with false documents to companies controlled by him and his employees, while he is now waiting for the Soda Forest to be leveled to build towers.

Another oligarch has set his sights on the Navy School to build a hotel. All of Vlora has been divided into pieces at the table of the oligarchs, led by Babloku. The biggest robbery in history, since the time of the Illyrians, must pass through the Municipality of Vlora, which administers the properties. Edi Rama has initially called Ermal Dredha to file the papers.

Ermal Dredha has not taken over. Under pressure from Rama, Dredha has made efforts for several months with the relevant directors, but none of them have agreed to be part of this operation. Dredha has justified himself to Rama that he does not accept directors and that he cannot control them, while he has offered Rama his resignation.

This is the moment that Edi Rama has decided to take the situation into his own hands. A few days ago, while temperatures were reaching 40 degrees, Rama descended on Vlora with a pad in his hand, dismissing the directors who resisted the project of the final plunder of Vlora. The dismissals were camouflaged with the ostensibly responsibilities of representation.

It was the first time in the history of the Albanian state that the prime minister, outside of any competence, dismissed the entire management team of a municipality. To camouflage the departure of the disobedient, several other directors were also dismissed, while the action was extended to several other municipalities, supposedly to give it a national character.

What happened next?

Edi Rama has practically, but not formally and officially, dismissed Ermal Dredha as mayor of Vlora. As soon as Dredha left, Bledi Çuçi appeared in his office in the Municipality of Vlora with a government badge.

In an unprecedented act, Çuçi has assumed the functions of mayor of Vlora on Rama's orders, and has begun interviewing candidates for new directors, who must sign the papers for Kanina, Pylli i Sodës and Pashalimani. The new directors have actually been appointed by Rama and the oligarchs at the five-star hotels, but Çuçi is there to carry out a formal process, supposedly recruiting through a competition. This coup is being consummated under the nose of SPAK./ Pamphlet
