Inflation falls in the Eurozone, but Albanians with 3 times lower incomes pay

Albanians continue to pay more than the countries of the European Union. Data from Eurostat show that the average inflation in the Eurozone reached 2.4% in November, while in Albania this indicator stands at 3.9% or 1.5% higher.

"The arrival of tourists in Albania exerts more demand for products and services, which puts pressure on prices, but another thing that affects in a secret way is the amount of money introduced into the economy from other ways", emphasizes Pano Soko.

If we stop at the main category, food, the prices are still higher. If this indicator in the countries of the European Union reached 6.9%, in Albania it remains at the level of 7.1%. As a reimbursement policy, many countries used monetary aid packages but also exerted pressure on the markets for the price drop by a few percent. In Albania, only one indexation of pensions was used.

"It falls on the international markets, but not in Albania, the administration must intervene and take measures. There is only growth, we do not see decline. Sometimes they sit down and sometimes they stand up", the citizens declare

"It is those products and prices that affect vulnerable groups and the level of poverty, and this is a problem that we continue to have. If the general inflation decreases in these categories, the prices are not decreasing", says Civici.

With the arrival of the holiday season, citizens are expected to pay more for almost any food. As their value reaches twice as much. /A2CNN
