Minister of Economy and Innovation Delina Ibrahimaj stated that pensioners will receive the year-end bonus starting December 1. She gave this confirmation during budget hearings with residents of unit no. 11 in Tirana.
Ibrahimaj said that this year's bonus will remain the same as last year's bonus. According to her, pensioners with a pension below 200 thousand old lek will receive a 150 thousand lek bonus. Pensioners who receive over 200 thousand old lek will receive 100 thousand lek. The minister focused on the criticism that the majority has received for the management of the bonus. She stated that there is no shift of the fund towards 2026 and that the payments will be made as promised.
" Many people in the communication we have made about pensions have told us 'what have you done? You have received the year-end bonus and distributed it for 2026'. The truth is not this, the truth is that the year-end bonus will be and pensioners will receive it from next December 1 and it will be equal to the bonus that was given last year ," she said.
