For experts, a weak European currency is expected to remain so in the future, because a constant stability has been created in relation to other currencies.
"Even with the passing of the tourist season and many other factors, we have seen that we are dealing with a long-term stable course" , said the expert.
But how much does a dominant national currency serve the economy in relation to the foreign currency with which it is exchanged?
"Naturally, it is easier for them to repay the loan when the Euro is cheaper and in relation to the Lek. There are also effects on public debt indicators," he continued.
The purchases of the Bank of Albania for currency reserves reach the figure of 230 million euros from the 300 million euros planned until the end of 2023. On the other hand, the devaluation of the euro started at the beginning of last week, losing 6 points this Tuesday.
Meanwhile, according to the Bank of Albania, the acceleration of budget expenditures at the end of the year can promote the growth of the European currency, while according to this institution, no other interventions in the market are foreseen to soften the fluctuations of the exchange rate.
