Gjergj Buxhuku, head of Konfindustria, spoke about the drastic fall of the euro.
In an interview for "Euronews Albania" he said that such a large drop of the European currency cannot be explained by formulas of the formal economy, so according to him the only explanation for this drop is the informal introduction of the euro in Albania.
"The problem is that the dramatic fall of the euro against the lek cannot be explained by the formulas of a normal economy. It is enough for me to tell you one fact, it is true that the Albanian economy has defeated the economy of the European market, while today, apart from the fact that 1/3 of the Albanian population is emigrating, imports from the EU to Albania are 2.3 times more.
It is enough to look at these figures to understand that we cannot explain it with equations of the formal economy, so the explanation of the dramatic strengthening of the Euro is explained by the informal flows of Euros in Albania", said Gjergj Buxhuku .
