For the first time in our country, the euro was bought this Friday below 102.5 ALL while the dollar was less than 91.2 ALL. This is the lowest value of the two currencies, marking the strengthening of the local currency. Experts say that the trend will continue until the end of the summer season.

While in its projections, the Bank of Albania expects stability at the end of August. Movements in the exchange rate are expected to return again at the end of the year due to the holidays. Despite this, there will be no intervention in the market. For the central banking institution, the beneficiaries will be those who have loans in foreign currency. But in the analysis it is said that even the export businesses do not have losses, but have a decrease in profits.

The high flow of foreign currencies has been accompanied by strict controls on the circulation of money. Therefore, the Bank of Albania expects to be removed from the Moneyval gray list.

In the statement on the financial report, the bank assesses the stable growth of the economy, even noting a decrease in bad loans.
