The price of energy for bakeries increases, OSHEE examines the proposal on

The request to set three bands for the price of electricity in bakeries, depending on the products they produce, will be reviewed on Tuesday by the Energy Regulatory Authority. The Electricity Distribution Operator requests that the price of ovens that make only bread remain 7.6 Lek per kilowatt-hour, while those that also produce cakes pay 9.5 Lek. OSHEE's proposal stipulates that ovens that also serve as cafes pay 12 lek for each kilowatt-hour of energy consumed.

"I had to! It's even overdue. It has been abused in this direction for a long time and OSHEE's initiative must be supported", said Azmer Dulevič, electrical engineer.

For electrical engineer Azmer Dulevič, for those bakeries that also serve as coffee bars, a price even higher than 12 lek could be applied for each kilowatt-hour of energy consumed.

"There must be a difference. Because he sells two pies and two panini and has most of it as an activity, he cannot pay 12 allek. We need 14 because otherwise the competition is damaged", he added.

Only bread or cakes? Energy charging is agreed upon based on the service

But will it lead to an increase in the price of bread or other categories of products that the ovens produce in ERE approves the request of the Electricity Distribution Operator?

"There is no reason and it shouldn't be. If it happens, it will be pure speculation of businesses in this sector", Dulevič concluded.

Currently, there are about 4,000 bakeries in the country that pay electricity at a preferential price of 7.6 ALL/kWh. /A2CNN
