The price of oil and gasoline increases, Rama's Board publishes new values

Based on the decision of the Transparency Board, a liter of diesel will be sold at 206 lek per liter, up from 202 lek 3 days ago, while gasoline will be traded at 181 lek per liter, up from 176 lek in the board's last decision.

The Transparency Board has determined the new prices for fuel trading, and from 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, there will be an increase of 4 lek per liter for diesel and 5 lek per liter for gasoline.

Thus, based on the decision of the Transparency Board, a liter of diesel will be sold at 206 lek per liter, up from 202 lek 3 days ago, while gasoline will be traded at 181 lek per liter, up from 176 lek in the board's last decision.

This is the second increase in fuel prices in the country within 72 hours by the Board. In the decision of April 22, the first increase of 5 lek was decided for diesel, while today (April 25) another increase of 4 lek was decided. In total in 72 hours, the price of diesel in Albania has increased by 9 lek per liter.

Albania ranks among the countries with the highest fuel prices, compared to countries such as Germany or Switzerland. According to experts, this is due to the high taxation that the Government has imposed on fuel.
