This request was approved by the Speaker of the Assembly. The session meeting on Tuesday, when Monday was an official holiday as a result of the coincidence of Summer Day on Saturday, does not constitute any "protocol drama".
But this is what the Democratic Party has described as the case, which, through the voice of the parliamentary group leader, Gazment Bardhi, announced a boycott of the session the day before.
"The Democratic Party Parliamentary Group decided not to participate in Tuesday's plenary session, an illegal session, called in open violation of the Assembly's Rules of Procedure, outside its normal day (Thursday) and with the Agenda: approval of minutes and announcements.
"This is not a normal parliamentary session, but a meeting called for the personal agenda of the Prime Minister and the Speaker of the Assembly, without any officially approved or announced agenda, and in violation of the minimum procedures guaranteed by the Rules of Procedure of the Assembly. A parliament without an agenda, without debate and without the right to speak for the opposition is no longer a parliament, but a decoration for government propaganda. A personal shop that does not serve the public interest," declared Bardhi.
