But Albanians rose up in protest, and you never returned those 1.2 billion dollars, which Albanians, deceived by the firms of Berisha's ministers, put into the banana coffers of Vefa, Sude, Xhaferri and Populli.
In his speeches of the last few days, Berisha has been promising his supporters that "we will return your money". And he says this with the utmost seriousness. He even tells them that "with the money we will return, we will increase salaries and pensions just like in Montenegro". I was reminded of the pyramids when I heard Berisha tell the residents of Berat and Kruja that "we will return your money". But what money will you return, Doctor, the money from the pyramids that was never returned, the money for which from December 1997 until the end of January 1997 you declared that "it is clean money, it is the money of the Albanians".
But Albanians rose up in protest, and you never returned those 1.2 billion dollars, which Albanians, deceived by the firms of Berisha's ministers, put into the banana coffers of Vefa, Suda, Xhaferri and Populli. You deceived them then, Doctor, but you can't deceive them today.
What money will you return to the Albanians, the money they never received, after your pyramidal friends who financed the electoral campaigns of May and October 1996, sent it to the banks of Europe. What money will you return to the Albanians today, Doctor, the money of weapons, ammunition, planes, tanks and ships that were sold for "scrap" and millions of national wealth were put into the pockets of your government officials. What money will you return to the Albanians today, Doctor, the money invested in half-finished roads left on the streets, by your former ministers, by the members of your party, who from apartment 1-1, today have villas, palaces, agricultural farms, and millions of euros in banks. What money will you return to the Albanians, Doctor, the money of the medieval healthcare that Edi Rama inherited in 2013, when you left power with over 1 million or so votes. What money will you, Doctor, return to the Albanians, the money invested in the palaces and towers of your former ministers?
Then, when you return the millions extorted by your former government, and when you are criminally cleared by the GJKKO along with your friends and allies of the DP, then you promised the Albanians that "I will return the money of today's rulers." Doctor, since you are traveling to cities and villages on the occasion of the campaign, at least look, enjoy and say a "thank you" to Edi Rama, for the new roads and highways, because maybe you can earn more points (not votes) as a politician.
Since you are for European politics and continuity, tell the Albanians loudly that, "Edi Rama has done as much work as you and your government never did when you were in power." Therefore, do not promise "return of money" to the Albanians, when to this day you have not returned to them a single penny of the millions extorted by your pyramids.
