Berisha, in his own way, has always found the 'emotional lever' to which he has moved his supporters in the radicalization and polarization of rhetoric.
"Sali Berisha is the most voted in DP! Donald Trump enjoys the greatest support within the Republicans! These are the two expressions that almost identically link the arguments for re-candidacy at the head of their oppositions of the two characters. Agreed, it is so, but is this argument enough in both cases to win the 2025 elections in Albania and the 2024 US elections? Doubts are that the chances of victory in both cases are either zero or something close to it.
But let's go deeper into the judgment of the slogan "who has the support of the party, defeats the opponent". First, it must be acknowledged that both characters are not ordinary transient politicians, but strong political figures. With different histories, but with something similar that unites them: fighting spirit and harsh rhetoric with a certain stylistic appeal to opponents. Berisha, in his own way, has always found the 'emotional lever' to which he has moved his supporters in the radicalization and polarization of rhetoric. And of course his harshness to overthrow the "stability government" in 1992 is well embedded in the consciousness of many PD voters. And he extended this style throughout his career even within the ranks of the PD itself. He has gone so far with this modus operandi, that it has filled the minds of the democrats that Basha is a demon who goes so far as to impose DASH for declaring him non-grata. But he forgets to take his responsibilities like Geppetto who created and kept his Pinocchio, precisely his favorite Flower.
But in any case, that part of the DP base that still worships Berisha, is happy to lie this time as well, as it did the same with the two previous clones of Basha, Selam and Shehu. But not telling the Democrats at that time that Selami was his dolphin next to the motionists in 1992, while the second or the so-called Professor, was the only worthy competitor of Agron Llakaj in imitating Berisha himself.

But the fable worked even though Shehu returned to PD in 2005 and the prases were dissolved in the water of the missing memory of the radicals. Of course, the same trajectory of articulation has been addressed more directly to Ramiz Ali and less to Nano and Rama, who in the perception of the loyal ranks have not been opponents, but "enemies" of him and the right-wing people. And even worse, some in Belgrade. The enmity of the Albanians of Albania was not enough, but also of those of Kosovo!!
Po të kthejmë kokën në SHBA pasi jemi në kushte të ngjashme. Mbështetja në sondazhe për Donald Trump është më e lartë se për DeSantis apo kandidatët e tjerë njëshifror në Partinë Republikane. Dhe me diferencë jo të vogël. Edhe Trump tek gjuha e ashpër ndaj rivalëve, brenda dhe jashtë Republikanëve, ka gjetur mënyrën më eficente për të gëzuar mbështetje në radhët e elektoratit emocional. Edhe Trump si Berisha në fillimet e tij në vitin 2016 gjatë primareve dhe garës përballë rivalit demokrat, kishte të drejtë në ekspozimin e krizës së liberalizmit globalist. Dhe për këtë Trump do mbetet në histori, si Berisha përballë komunistëve në 1992.
Dhe është e kuptueshme, liderët që dalin fitues nga beteja me kundërshtarë që kanë prodhuar kriza të mëdha janë shpërblyer me mbështetje tek votuesit e ashpër dhe më gjerë. Por, këto histori të ngjashme fitoresh epike kanë dhe anën tjetër të medaljes. Humbjet e të njëjtëve personazhe në zgjedhjet pasardhëse. Berisha përbën edhe një përjashtim atipik, pasi rierdhi në pushtet pas humbjes së tij herën e parë. Dhe kjo e bën të pamundur një kthim të tretë pa iu referuar fare non-gratës, pasi gjysma e votuesve potencialë e kanë mbyllur këtë hesap në gjuhën shqipe. Kanë zgjedhur të mos hanë bar, por thjeshtë nuk hanë as bar e as “karamelet” e Rilindjes së Ramës që veçse rishpiku veten nga bashkia në kryeministri dhe asgjë më shumë. Trump po ashtu në 2020 humbi sa për shkak të vendimeve kontradiktore, retorikës jo qeverisëse por opozitare duke qenë vetë në pushtet, por edhe për shkak të artificës kundërshtare të “betejës së minoriteteve etnike” në një Amerikë që është bashkim historik rracash të ndryshme. Demokratët luajtën edhe pisët me Black Lives Matters por ja që fituan me Joe Biden. Dhe siç thonë rëndom juristët “retorika përballë fakteve, është shterpë”!
Por ka dhe një analogji tjetër fatale që I bashkon. Dështimi i Trump në zgjedhjet e ndërmjetme për të marrë në kontroll senatin në SHBA dhe 14 maji që do mbahet mënd si “dita e martirëve të Rithemelimit në Shqipëri”, nga Shkodra në Tropojë.
Pra përballë mbështetjes që kanë në shumicë brenda partive respektive dhe pamundësisë për të fituar zgjedhjet e ardhshme, e ardhmja e republikanëve amerikanë dhe demokratëve shqiptarë është në udhëkryq. Biles Rithemelimi, në udhëkryqin e fundit u copëtua keq nga treni elektoral që refuzoi Berishën dhe krizën e PD ku ai vetë shihet si përgjegjësi kryesor. I saj. Por duhet thënë se edhe me ndryshimet që kanë mes vetes, ambicia, egoizmi dhe narcizizmi thuajse patologjik i dy personazheve i bën që të këmbëngulin në rikandimin. Nuk shohin dot asgjë përtej hundës së tyre, ç‘ka rezulton mos të jetë horizonti i gjithë elektoratit potencial opozitar në të dyja anët e oqeanit.
This lack of responsibility could most likely burn a candidate with a lot of winning potential like DeSantis in the USA and a democratizing dynamic that could produce a right-wing leader and winning team in Albania. Unfortunately, the countdown has begun and is nearing its end. The stubbornness of both will almost certainly give their opponents power at the table. But "who cares", in the end it is important that Trump and Berisha are proud in front of the mirror for their battles with opponents who can also be windmills. One thing is certain, life goes on unless Trump and Berisha walk on water like Christ. But in 2023 the last few years miracles have been seen only in Biblical Israel. Specifically, the elections are won through the gray vote that the two stubborn re-candidates cannot get.
