I see that there are many frustrated people even within the DP who quarreled with Berisha because he "self-excluded" Salianji. It all stems from the misunderstanding they have about Berisha's real power. Ervin Salianji has a fate that no predecessor like him has had with criticism of Berisha. To gain points in the DP, Berisha works for him, while the justice system works for the DP to win.
He just has to pray every day that Berisha will come to meetings with democrats and do what he does: declare him an enemy, connect him with his fantasy with all the criminal groups or people in power, and bring out fools in the meetings.
It is good that he does not get tired of holding his own meetings from time to time. No matter how much good he does, how well he speaks, how many intellectual or political theses he puts forward, how much inspiration for change he inspires, none of them can surpass the power of degradation that Sali Berisha conveys through these meetings that give justice to everyone he encounters.

So the hope of the DP today is that maybe they will not convict Berisha, maybe Shkëlzeni will pay some lek and reduce his sentence, maybe these judges are afraid that they will curse them with a house book and forgive, maybe, maybe… and he is not guilty. That is all that the DP dreams of today when it comes to the fact that it will be led by Sali Berisha.
I don't know exactly what they think about Salianja, but it's certain that if they do the same analysis of him as they do of Berisha, they'll at least say: he's got no problem.
Now I don't know how this party can go to municipal elections next year, or in three years for parliament, when it is not certain whether it will have the party leader free or convicted, not to mention whether it will have him alive due to his age.
A man who is in two criminal trials, one for political murder and the other for state capture, now takes up the baton and goes from city to city, convincing Democrats that those who seek to compete against him are part of the mafia or part of the government.
In fact, Edi Rama, who after four terms in power has his own costs normal and is facing massive legal challenges, has no personal problems so far. We don't know how upset he is about Veliaj, Balluk, Beqen, Ahmetaj or others, but be sure that the only serious damage that can be done to him is if they arrest Sali Berisha. That's where they'll get their necks kicked out. The others are replaceable. He can't replace him, because there can't be a second case in the world when an 82-year-old, with two criminal trials under his belt, with thousands of sins that every Albanian knows about, is not uprooted from the chair of the false opposition, doing the prime minister the honor of his life.
The only major force, besides God, that can thwart Edi Rama at this point is only justice. Therefore, Salianji has no reason to feel attacked by Berisha. If Berisha continues like this, degrading the hopes for a ruling DP, he will only increase his points because of Berisha, without any merit on his part, and if justice does its job with Berisha, he will only thwart Rama's work, also without any merit on his part. He is winning without firing a shot.
