And the Albanian language is certainly keeping us connected to Albanianness.
No one should miss the opportunity to learn about the exploits of the dictatorship that passed in Albania.
But today we must appreciate it to the fullest, because we Albanians today have two Albanian states and Albanianism will continue to move forward, towards an all-Albanian federal union.
I.
History is history and its human pains are part of the path of history. But social pain always brings the rise of the intellect, because it carries with it danger.
Living for centuries under the threat of assimilation as a people, we Albanians have been protected only by the Albanian language and the heroic history of Gjergj Kastriot Skanderbeg.
And here we are together today, two Albanian states with 5 million Albanians (Albania - Kosovo); which have established a modern secondary and higher education, but in the Albanian language.
Poets, writers, great bishops, intellectuals and great patriots who sacrificed their lives for Albanianness, for higher knowledge and the cultivation of the Albanian language: they should be the pride of the Albanian nation.
The historical time we have spent under various rulers has truly killed us, imposed occupation on us, but the foreign invaders have done nothing to us, as long as they have not been able to eliminate our language.
"Language - says the Encyclopedia Britannica - together with its reflections and affects, creates a particular culture of thought."
This is the special way of advanced thinking that the Albanian language has given to Albanians.
You have seen that we Albanians, as a function of the Albanian language, approach each other immediately, as soon as we say in Albanian to a stranger: How are you? Or: How are you doing?
Because in this case everything changes and we immediately seem close to each other. And this is because the Albanian language is unique in the world.
Have you noticed that no foreigner is able to speak the Albanian language with its accent: Northern or Southern? Because the pronunciation of the Albanian language, in both dialects, is a specific feature of Albanianness alone.
II.
Our great Renaissance men, but also the great intellectuals of the 20th century, have known in deep scientific knowledge the greatness of the Albanian language.
And here we are today, with two Albanian states and a modern Albanian education structure.
And the Albanian language is certainly keeping us connected to Albanianness.
Together with North Macedonia, in fact, there are three Albanian states today, but the language has created for us what no one else has: it has given us the ability to feel like we are a great blood tribe with 6 million Albanians, even though we are two states and scattered everywhere in Europe and the world, but still, unassimilated. That is why the separation of one million Albanians from the Slavs in North Macedonia is also expected.
And everything lies in this connection, with the great value that the Albanian language has.
None of the great Albanians have been able to explain why the Albanian language is so strong: therefore, they were the ones who said with conviction: Albanian is the language of God.
And the Albanian language will shape us now and then as an Albanian nation, which is certainly creating ethnic unity through the history of Albanianness, which today is common in Albanian literature spread everywhere, but also in Albanian radio and television that is creating for us the common development of the Albanian language, Albanian literature and our history.
Because this is a story that comes with its historical splendor, from Alexander the Great, to Gjergj Kastriot Skanderbeg, and, from Skanderbeg to Ismail Qemali; but then: from Ismail Qemali to the two Albanian states on the Illyrian Peninsula, with two capitals - Tirana and Pristina.
And the history of Albanianness is now continuing to move forward with uninterrupted success towards itself, as an ethnicity, fully and solely Albanian.
