44 ballot boxes in the Dibër district were recounted today, resulting in around 40 votes being misappropriated among the candidates on the open list. According to the KAS, around 2,300 more ballot boxes in the Tirana, Fier and Durrës districts will also be recounted.
So, out of the 5200 ballot boxes in all of Albania, almost half will be recounted. There were over 90 EAZs throughout Albania where the votes were counted.
Each EAZ had 6 counting tables and each table had 4 counters per shift, or 12 counters per table.
So, the total turns out to be 90 x 6 = 540 tables x 12 counters = 6480 counters.
In half of the EAZs that will be recounted, it turns out that 3240 enumerators participated, of which 1620 are from the DP.
Now, if the mission of all those who have requested a recount and who know full well that a recount does not alienate mandates or that the vote differences that may result do not produce anything, is to imprison 6,480 tellers or 3,240 half of them, I guarantee you that Albania urgently needs to build as many prisons as it has, because the current capacity of Albania's prisons is 5,200.
In the 1282 polling centers that the Tirana region has or the 586 centers that the Fier region has, if during the recount so many votes are found to be "trafficking" that it could be human error, I do not want a single vote in exchange for putting any democrat in prison.
If the "trafficking" is intentional and the number of votes is such that it alters the result or mandate, let whoever counts them rot in prison.
And if the CEC has not implemented the law that all counters must be highly educated and accredited and trained by the CEC according to the Electoral Code, then the responsibility for any counter that does not meet the criteria according to the law – which to my knowledge are many – lies with the CEC and not with the counters.
That's why I've insisted for 10 years that commissioners should be administrators and not party militants who are used as cannon fodder and then "sold" to be punished for carrying out the orders of "global leaders" and party leaders.
